Hi my name is Kim and... I am a Facebook user.
I also have an inactive MySpace account. I have been noodling around in Facebook since I started work at this fair institution, mainly as a way of staying in touch with the lovely people I left behind at my last workplace but also as a way of connecting with Facebook users here (3 months).
Since then I have been using it for work and for catching up with mates outside of work. I find it really useful and will continue to use it. It is a great way of experiencing social networking. It is a way of staying connected. There are some features I am a bit dubious about.
Poking - what is that about! I think there must be a constituency out there who use Facebook to hook up with others but this spoof explains the many uses of Facebook.

Yeah! I have a friend that pokes me regularly and I poke back I am not sure how to end it. I think it is very funny thing to do. I love Facebook and my kids complain that they now have to fight me for the PC. They are looking forward to when facebook loses its appeal
I love FaceBook. It has allowed me to get to know some colleagues who are in "a different demographic" to me.
I don't really get the 'poke' thing, either. I think it's a bit like the food fight app ... meaningless and irritating.
