Just to let you know I have abandoned my 23 things blog and moved here. Same kinda stuff just not dominated by my 23 things journey.

The conclusion

Do I keep blogging now that I have reached the end of the journey. I know that I will continue to use:

1. Facebook - cos otherwise my friends wouldn't know what I was doing or how I spend my day

2. Google Reader - love it and now have fav blogs that I watch

3. Delicious - I hate putting the dots in. But I like being able to use my bookmarks anywhere

4. Blogs/Youtube/igoogle - will also use all of these tools cos they are now on my toolbar

I have loved have a legitimate reason to play with these new technologies at work and I am interested in how we can apply them to improve services. A great initiative and since I have discovered Crafty Tardis my life has become much richer. Thanks 23 things!

I will be making a Dalek cake and looking forward to seeing photos of any knitted/crochet Daleks. So please keep me posted.

Second Life and Libraries

I tried to get into Second Life once. I went as far as creating a basic avatar and then going to orientation island. I want to go to the ALIA New Gen Librarian's end of year meeting. Let's just say I didn't get there. I know of a library in Melbourne that will have a library on their virtual island.

Let's just say. Second Life isn't for me. I don't like the graphics. I have no interesting in sprouting wings and I would rather lift weights to develop muscles. There is something a bit Dungeons n Dragons for me in the whole second life thing. Kudos to those who want to play in this space but to be honest I am not intersted.

I must admit I have wasted a bit of time watching these videos. There are so many of them....March of the Librarians is an oldy but a goody.

My dog is on the wiki

Boo is on the wiki. She is a beautiful 11 year old lab. Who is getting a bit smelly now. Labs do seem to develop a bit of a gas problem in their later years. The photos on the wiki are about 3 years old. She wouldn't like it if I put recent photos up because she is going grey. She is still sleek and pretty.
